Who can Tax the Sunrise? The Government Can!

The Government Can ’cause they mix it up with lies and make it all taste good!

Tim Hawkins in an excellent 3-minute parody! Must watch!

Obama: Fed Health Care :: Postal Service

President Obama in his own words:

“If you think about it, UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. It’s the Post Office that’s always having problems.”

Now, I realize Obama’s knowledge of both business and economics is, at best, challenged.  But his latest statement—which is supposed to somehow be supporting a government takeover of health care—reveals a true lack of even a basic understanding of capitalism and market forces. Continue reading

IowaHawk Satirizes WhiteHouse “Health Care Dissident List”

How he comes up with post after post of such humor astounds me!  (Might it have something to do with the cornucopia of material?)

Read it here.

A Humorous Look at Harvard/Gates

From IowaHawk:

Some suggest that the election of President Obama proves that America’s prejudice against Harvard assholes is a quaint relic of the past. But for those of us who live with it every day, the evidence shows the opposite. And it isn’t just Harvard assholes suffering the cold, rude hand of uppity townie privilege. Other, if less endowed, asshole faculties suffer similar oppression; in the southern Lacrosse fields of Duke, in the west coast arugula farms of Stanford, at Northwestern, where ever Northwestern is.

A Bold New Venture for our Final Frontier!

Iowahawk again shows his vision and comedic genius!

If America wants to get back on the right track, scientific space mission-wise, we need to once again pick an inspiring, audacious goal, and man it with the kind of inspirational crew to make it happen. At long last, let us realize mankind’s most cherished dream — sending the entire United States Congress to the Moon by 2010.

Common Sense Isn’t Always the First Thing You Can Think Of

Guilford County Schools owns an unused school in the Lindley Park neighborhood.  But what to do with it?

From the article in the Carolina Journal:

Another issue is whether the school system might prefer to hold the property as an asset for possible future use. The board frequently airs concerns about expanding enrollment and the need for new schools, not to mention the increasing cost of land in Guilford County. To own land in the middle of the city is a true asset, noted system chief operations officer Leo Bobadilla.

What do you think we should do?  If it was up to me, I’d hold onto the asset, and lease it out for now.
