The Real Lesson from Massachusetts

To effect change in government, it is not enough to send letters, march around with (lovely, homemade!) signs or even go straight to Washington with your concerns.  No, the only way to get the attention of our elected officials is by voting.  Up until Tuesday, the Democrats in Congress were set to ram through legislation that they knew was hugely unpopular with the American people.  Only the suddenly, very real, fear of losing their seats is what finally caused them to revolt, as it were, against the Democrat “leadership” and finally stand up for what was right all along.  The importance of voting is the real lesson from Massachusetts and we forget it at the peril of our nation.
