One of the candidates (now I forget who, which is really embarrassing!) is in favor of having Wi-Fi hotspots citywide. I was reminded of this yesterday morning while strolling in Bicentennial Park where they have a “Wi-Fi hotspot” sign. I thought the point of parks was for residents to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life! How much are these hotspots are costing us taxpayers?
I will be on the lookout for more signs & will post other locations as I come across them. If you have seen them around town, please post a comment with the location(s) and then we can map them. Citywide Wi-Fi might sound like a good idea to some, but what exactly is the point?
