Community Sustainability Council Seeks “Input”

Greensboro’s “Community Sustainability Council” (CSC) will be holding two more (more?) public meetings to get input on how to spend $2.5 million in “energy related” federal “stimulus” funds.  According to the N&R, the scheduled meetings are: October 13, 12 noon-1:30 pm and then again from 6:30-8 pm in the Nussbaum Room of the Central Library, 219 N. Church St. For some reason, those newly scheduled meetings are not on the  CSC’s website.  Reading their “Areas of Interest” section, there are some things that they are interested in that could, in all likelihood, impact the personal freedoms of their fellow citizens.  This is one that jumps out at me, but there are definitely others: “Promoting personal lifestyle choices that are energy efficient and resource conserving.”
