Obama came to Raleigh yesterday to push for nationalized health care*. The N&R has a lengthy online article about it : “Obama Pushes Health Care Plan.”
Here, in its entirety, is the N&R’s description of the protest to national heath care that occurred outside:
“The welcome was in contrast to criticism Obama met as his motorcade made its way from the airport to Needham B. Broughton High School. Thick groups of protesters held signs that said “Obamacare is Socialism,” ”Politicians + Health Care Disaster,” and “Hands Off Our Health Care.”
See for yourself what the protest really looked like and notice how the N&R FAILS to tell the truth, instead choosing merely to promote Obama’s agenda.
It is tremendously disappointing that the N&R is so willing to disregard (and/or discredit) the legitimate concerns of people who are opposed to Obama’s plans. Aren’t they supposed to be a watchdog for the people? If I want to read the president’s press releases, I can go to Whitehouse.gov and read them for myself!
* That’s the ultimate goal — Obama knows, as does just about everyone else involved in crafting the “reform” legislation, that a “national option” will eventually crowd out all private insurance options, thereby leading to a one-payer system, i.e. nationalized/socialized medicine.
